Welcome to Apocalypse Gardens! (Performing my best Mr. Roarke impression). Apocalypse Gardens is the project of a couple living in the Houston-area who like so many others, decided to stay busy during the “Stay at Home” period of 2019 and 2020. Both of us had a tiny amount of gardening knowledge, though not enough to make a full go at it. Enter, YouTube homesteading videos.
When that was not enough, we began expanding our Kindle libraries with books. Then, everyone became afraid of a little “sparky-sparky” from our home star or the bad guys, and we started collecting paper books. Four years later, we have a somewhat productive plot of land we can grow vegetables on. This was always nicknamed “The Apocalypse Garden”. After reading about food forests, we added an “s” for future plans.
